One of the most technically demanding and rewarding black and white films available. Rollei Ortho 25 Plus is an orthochromatic film with an ultra-low ISO of 25, delivering razor-sharp images with virtually invisible grain and a distinctive tonal rendering that sets it apart from conventional panchromatic films.
- ISO 25
- 35mm format
- 36 exposures
- Orthochromatic — insensitive to red light
- Ultra-fine grain, exceptional sharpness
- Develop in standard B&W chemistry
- Best shot in bright daylight or studio lighting
Orthochromatic means it is insensitive to red light — rendering reds as dark and blues as bright, giving skies, foliage, and architecture a dramatic, graphic quality reminiscent of early 20th century photography. Ideal for landscape, architectural, and fine art work where maximum sharpness and unique tonal character are the goal
EXP DATE: 5/26
Film doesn't expire like food — it degrades gradually over time. Fresh film performs exactly as rated. As film ages, it slowly loses sensitivity and can develop increased grain and color shifts — but this process is very slow under normal conditions.
For most shooters, expiration only becomes a real concern after 10 years or more. Film stored at room temperature in stable conditions will shoot true to box speed for many years. Film stored in a cool, dry place (or refrigerated) can last even longer with minimal degradation.
